Serialization

Castit allows serial numbers to be assigned to each part at various stages of the production process. Assigning serial numbers provides the ability to trace the operations and statistics on a specific part instead of on a batch. Many foundry customers require parts to be serialized so each part may be uniquely identified at any time.

The format of the serial number may be customized for each part with a prefix or suffix. Markers may also be added such as 'W' for welded parts or 'X' for X-Rayed parts.

Castit may be interfaced with a Trumpf laser marker to provide the serial numbers and record the parts as as they are marked.
