One aspect of minimizing scrap is a correctly built shell. To ensure that the shell is built correctly the shell module uses the requirements, setup by Quality Control, for shell layers.

A recipe file, instruction file for a robot, may be produced from the shell module to make sure the robot has the correct build instructions for the shell.

Tracks Production times to enforce shell Dry times before the part appears in the foundry module.

Temperature and humidity in the shell room is also tracked for later analysis if there are issues with the shell.
