System Requirements

Castit uses MS/SQL for data storage.

Currently versions SQL 2000, SQL 2005, SQL 2008 and SQL 2012 are supported.

Castit runs on Microsoft Windows from Windows XP to Windows 8.

Castit automatically updates to the newest version.

Technologies used by Castit

	ActiveXPlus http://taltech.com/ Castit Software employs the use of the ActiveXPlus software package for barcode creation, scanning and recognition. All barcodes created using the ActiveXPlus system may be saved in either GIF, JPEG and PNG format, and may be used within any Windows-based web server.
	Microsoft SQL http://www.microsoft.com/sql/ The Castit software application is based around the MS SQL relational database, allowing information to be managed easily and efficiently. MS SQL products offer a wide array of database packages to suit the individual needs of businesses using a Windows-based environment. Castit currently runs on SQL 2005 and SQL 2008.
	XCase http://xcase.com/ Castit Software utilizes XCase database design tools to create and maintain database modeling and management. XCase works with a wide variety of Windows-based database servers, including SQL, MySQL and FoxPro.
	XFRX, Visual FoxPro http://www.eqeus.com/frx2wrd.php The Castit software application uses various XFRX tools to help users create information reports, and print to various locations, including E-mail or PDF. The XFRX software utility works in conjunction with Visual FoxPro-oriented objects, to help produce electronic versions of various types of documents.
	SpreadCom http://www.gcpowertools.com/products/SpreadCOM Castit Software employs the use of SpreadCom for the creation of grids, providing easy and accessible information within various forms and modules.
